The NVIDIA Jetson Nano is a single board computer with a GPU, for AI and video processing at the edge. On IoT-LAB, it is an open Linux node: your experiment runs directly on it, with root access.
Hardware
- CPU: Quad-core Arm Cortex-A57
- GPU: NVIDIA Maxwell, 128 cores
- Memory: 4 GB
- Ethernet
Deployment
The nodes are deployed in Saclay, under the names jetson-nano-<id>. They are powered by the PoE switch of the site, through a splitter: they have no gateway and no control node, so no consumption or radio monitoring.
Operating system
The board boots Ubuntu 18.04 (Jetson Linux R32, the system of NVIDIA for this board) over the network, with the CUDA driver and Docker. You can boot your own image built on top of it. See Linux and the tutorial.
Use it
Submit an experiment, then log in from the SSH frontend of the site:
$ iotlab-experiment submit -n gpu -d 30 -l saclay,jetson-nano,1
$ ssh <login>@saclay.iot-lab.info
<login>@saclay:~$ ssh root@jetson-nano-1
The node boots at the start of the experiment: wait for it with iotlab-experiment wait.
